J-Built is licensed and bonded in DC, MD and VA. Additional specialty licenses (plumbing and electrical) are held by individual J-Teams. And yes we can make the necessary drawings and applications to obtain local building permits. Being in the Washington area you probably know all about bureaucratic inefficiency. It's hard to avoid on big projects. By the same token that sort of overhead is a senseless waste of your money for smaller projects. J-Built is just the right size of you need work on: And yes we work with realtors to prepare properties for sale or lease. Don't you love it when a contractor disappears for a few days in the middle of a project? Things go wrong in every project. That's a fact. But in the unlikely event that five people in a J-Team come down with the flu we don't just shut off our phones and hide. We also don't just rush out to the local Home Depot parking lot and pick up any warm body to try to muddle through your job. Perhaps, it's a matter of pride in our work, but if something goes awry we try to work with you to find a solution that lets us get the job done properly with the minimum inconvenience to you.
